چکیده

For soilborne pathogens, germination of the resting or dormant propagule that enables persistence within soil environment is a key point in pathogenesis. Spongospora subterranea an obligate protozoan infects roots and tubers potato causing root powdery scab disease for which there are currently no effective controls. A better understanding molecular basis spore S. could be important development novel interventions. However, as biotroph dwelling organism, application new omics techniques study pre-infection process has been problematic. Here, RNA sequencing was used to analyse reprogramming spores during transition zoospores in-vitro model. More than 63 million mean high-quality reads per sample were generated from germinating spores. By using combination reference-based de novo transcriptome assembly, 6,664 unigenes identified. The identified subsequently annotated based on known proteins BLAST search. Of 5,448 genes, 570 genes differentially expressed spores, with most significant belonging transcription translation, amino acids biosynthesis, transport, energy metabolic processes, fatty acid metabolism, stress response DNA repair. datasets this provide basic knowledge physiological processes associated will facilitate functional predictions other plasmodiophorids. We introduce several candidate related biotrophic pathogen applied antimicrobial agents inoculum management.

Ribonucleic acid synthesis during fungal spore germination.

Spores of several fungi were examined in an effort to understand the role of RNA in the biochemical events occurring early in germination. RNA synthesis appeared to be an essential requirement for germination in Neurospora crassa and Aspergillus nidulans but not in Alternaria solani and Peronospora tabacina. Gross changes in the relative amounts of the various molecular species of RNA were not ...
